Sites like this are the reason people fear online dating

I tried to sign up for dating.thelocal as I will be returning but was blocked. When I emailed tech support they said my profile was deleted for breaking one of the rules. I hadn't even remembered ever signing up for this website. I was finally able to get out of the girl in so called tech support that I was member of another dating site that is run by the same company " the dating factory". Again I didn't remember this site specifically as I often sign up just to browse but I knew I had never broken any of the rules she mentioned on any site ever! After much back and forth she told me the site deleted my account because of scamming. SCAMMING! So I knew I never scammed anyone in my life so I asked her help in figuring out when this happened and why I was never alerted to why I was being accused of something illegal. The only thing she would say to me is that I could sign up with a different email address. She would not give me any info or put me in contact with someone that could help me figure out when and how this happened. I never received an email saying this happened so its possible that my PC was hacked and I have not known for god knows how long. As a result I had to delete and change everything as I don't know how badly my info has been compromised so changing my passwords was not enough. I don't know if my pics have been circulating because I don't know what made them think I tried to scam someone. If they had told me when it happened I could have just changed passwords but now I'm scared out of my mind that someone might be using my info. This site does not care about your safety and this scary situation has turned me permanently off of nonlinear dating. Stay far away from any website run by The Dating Factory.
